What is Capillary Treatment?

Capillary enlargement, also known as telangiectasia, is the widening of the diameter of thin vessels and their appearance in a linear form on the skin surface. Capillary enlargement is commonly seen on the cheeks, around the nose, chin, and legs. It can also be seen in other parts of the body.

What Causes Capillary Expansion?

The enlargement of capillaries, which can be seen in many people, is caused by environmental factors such as strong wind, cold weather, hot weather, especially sunlight. It can also occur due to long-term use of birth control pills, cortisone creams, trauma, rheumatic diseases, excessive estrogen, genetic diseases and rosacea (rose). Capillary enlargement is more common in people with very open and thin skin.

Capillary enlargement in the feet is more common in women and obese people. After the pregnancy period, capillary enlargement occurs in the legs. Telangiectasia is more common in people who work on their feet for a long time due to their profession. At the same time, sitting position also affects the enlargement of capillaries in the feet.

How is Capillary Treatment Performed?

Capillary treatment is performed in our clinic in an extremely safe way using NdYAG laser. During the procedure, laser light is applied to the entire surface of the capillaries.

The treatment process varies according to the width, number and location of the capillaries on the skin. The heat generated by the laser process treats the enlarged capillaries by burning them.
